Winter News and Class Schedule

Hi Guys:

Well, winter has finally arrived....BRRR! Time to stay inside and quilt! So here's our new class list:

Thursday, January 26th - 5 PM til ? - No charge - Girls Night Out...bring a project or two and enjoy the company of other quilters...great night to get those bindings sewn down!

Friday, February 3rd - 12 noon til 4 PM and Saturday, February 4th - 10AM til 4 PM and Sunday, February 5th - 12 noon til 3 PM - Super Bowl Sale...Buy 10 FQ's and get 5 FREE (batiks & flannels included)...cost is $35. We're giving you 3 days instead of just 1 so you can watch the game if you'd like to! Or, like me....just watch the commercials!

Sunday, February 12th - 10AM til 4PM - Cost $25 - Stash Buster Class - Let's use up those scraps, strips and odd blocks! Use it up so you can buy more! Gather all of your odd blocks, strips, any scraps at least 1" in size.....even mistakes and we'll disguise them! Choose between three easy scrappy quilt techniques...1) Mile-A-Minute, 2) String quilting, and 3) Tote bag made from selvedges. Pay for one class but learn 3 techniques....and there's a class bonus for you too...receive a 10% discount of fabric purchased on class

Tuesday, February 14th - Quilt-a-way will donate 10% of our total sales on this day to The American Heart Association. On all purchases of $30 or more, you will receive a FREE red fat quarter...and, if you make a donation of $25 to The American Heart Association, we will give you a FREE class of your choice! Please wear red...to bring attention to heart disease which is affecting more and more women. Oh yeah, Happy Valentine's Day too!

Sunday, February 26th - 10AM til 4PM - Cost $25 - Sweatshirt Jacket Class - Start with a sweatshirt that is one or two sizes larger than you'd normally buy and we'll create a stunning, warm jacket for you to wear...to help you get ready for Spring weather!

Sunday, March 4th - 10AM til 4PM - Cost $40 which includes the book - Sew Simple Pineapple Class - Learn a quick, easy way to make wonderful pineapple blocks without angles!! Karin Hellably has a fantastic method of making these blocks that you'll love! You can easily make a table runner or a whole quilt!

And, don't forget the Vermont Shop Hop runs from March 16th through March 25th...and all 16 participating shops will be open from 9AM til 6PM for ten days straight! Passports are only $6 and the prizes are wonderful this year (ask me how I know....because I'm the person that obtained them from our distributors). You get an original pattern free from each shop, a chance to win a basket or gift at each store (valued at $75 or more), goody bags, refreshments, and (of course) fabric sales, etc!
